Ireland's surf capital and its signature wave: a right-hand reef in front of the headland (The Peak) that works on a big west swell and produces a fast, bowly wall over a shallow reef. Bundoran town fronts several spots — the Peak, Tullan Strand (beach), the Rougey left — so it handles most wind and swell directions. Cold water, year-round consistency and a thriving surf-school scene make it the base of Irish surfing.

Park at the Bundoran seafront or the Peak car park near the headland. Booties recommended; the reef is uneven and urchin-studded in places.
