Duranbah

Also known as D-Bah

Intermediate Beach break Sand bottom Peels both 0.9–2.7 m Mid tide

The northernmost piece of the Gold Coast superbank chain, at the mouth of the Tweed River. A punchy, fast beach break with wedging peaks that forms when the sandbar and river mouth line up, plus an occasional rip bowl. Tight takeoff and fast sections make it trickier than its beach-break looks suggest.
