Kirra

Also known as Kirra Point

Advanced Point break Sand bottom Peels right 0.9–3.5 m Mid tide

Once considered the best barrel in Australia. Kirra's legendary sand-bottom point produces hollow, mechanical tubes when cyclone swells combine with westerly winds. The wave was diminished by sand pumping in the 2000s but still produces world-class barrels on its day. Connected to the Superbank, it can link with Snapper and Rainbow Bay on epic swells.
