Hanalei Bay

Intermediate Point break Sand bottom Peels right 0.6–3.5 m Any tide

A perfect crescent bay on Kauai's north shore with a long, wrapping right point at the west end and forgiving peaks across the middle. Winter northwest swells turn the point into a fast, racy wave that has produced champion surfers (the brothers Kahanamoku of modern era); summer is glassy longboard paradise.
