Varkala

An exposed beach break on Kerala's southwest coast that does not work often. Varkala produces both left- and right-hand waves, with southwest swell and east-northeast offshore winds; it is surfable at all stages of the tide. The documented hazards are rips and undertow, pollution, and remote access.
