A powerful, hollow reef break off Plage de la Chapelle on the northern tip of Grande-Terre, in the commune of Anse-Bertrand. Two waves peel here, a left-hander and a right-hander, and the Guadeloupe tourist board rates the spot for experienced surfers only. Entry is from the pebble beach below the La Chapelle beach car park. It works on an 80 cm to 1.2 m swell from the east through north with an east to south wind.
