A very consistent exposed reef, point, and river-mouth break on El Salvador's Costa del Bálsamo. El Zonte is a left-hand wave favoured by south-southwest groundswells and north-northeast winds, with the best conditions around rising high tide. It can be busy when working; rips and rocks are documented hazards.
