Mid tide
A powerful, world-class right-hand reef at the northern tip of Las Canteras in Las Palmas. It needs a solid north-west swell and low-to-mid tide to produce long, hollow walls; the wave is fast, shallow and not a suitable place to learn. The exposed headland and crowded lineup make careful checking essential.

Getting there
Check the reef from El Confital beach or the headland before paddling out. Access is from the beach; do not attempt the inside reef on a draining tide.
