The most famous and deadly wave in surfing. Pipeline breaks over a shallow, cavernous reef creating perfect, thick-lipped barrels. The first peak (Pipeline) breaks left, while the second peak (Backdoor) breaks right. Home to the Pipe Masters since 1971. Extremely dangerous with powerful currents, shallow reef, and crowded lineups featuring the world's best surfers.
