Grand Cape Mount, Liberia

Robertsport

Also known as Robertsport, Roberts Port, Lofa Point

Advanced Point break Rock bottom Peels right 1–4 m Mid tide

Liberia's best surf destination and a genuine point-break trip: a set of right-hand reef/point breaks off the headland at Robertsport, the small fishing town on the Cape Mount peninsula, that hold size on a south-southwest swell and run for several hundred metres on their day. The country's surf scene grew up here around a handful of community surf clubs; the setting is wild palm-lined coast with almost no surf tourism density. Paddle out past the fishing canoes, beware the rivermouth currents.
