Hobart's workaday surf beach on the South Arm Peninsula, 40 minutes from the city. Punchy beach-break peaks over shifting sand with the odd left off the rocks; cold, clean and rarely crowded, it produces good days on southwest swells when the east coast spots are too big or too small.
